18 Months Later, Liverpool Defender Jon Flanagan Resumes Training

Must read

Liverpool-born full-back, Jon Flanagan returned to Liverpool’s training ground, Melwood on Monday, November 30, 2015. This comes  after an 18-month spell on the sidelines as a result of a knee injury.

The 22-year-old was a key component of Liverpool’s title quest in the 2013/2014 season and his return to training will surely be great news for Reds fans.

He wasn’t the only one back in training on Monday though. Liverpool legend and former captain, Steven Gerrard was also in training. The 35-year-old is currently on a post-season Major League Soccer break from Los Angeles Galaxy and is keen to maintain fitness level ahead of the MLS resumption in mid-January.

Liverpool midfielder, Philippe Coutinho also resumed training after missing the victory over Swansea with a hamstring problem.

Flanagan is expected to return to action this December for the Jurgen Klopp led side.
