2 Fresh Cases Of Ebola: Spouses Of 2 Dead Victims Test Positive

The minister of health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, on Friday, August 22, 2014 announced that Nigeria has recorded two new cases of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).

The two new cases are spouses of victimes who died of the killer virus adter having contact with Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian man who brought Ebola to Nigeria.

Onyebuchi said the two new cases are the first secondary contacts in isolation to test positive to the deadly virus.

This brings the total number of cases in Nigeria to 14, with 5 deaths and 5 survivors.
