2 New York Men Arrested For Attempting To Wage Jihad For ISIS

Three men from Brooklyn, New York were on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 on suspicion of planning to wage jihad on behalf of terror group ISIS, with authorities claiming that one of them had offered to kill President Barack Obama if he was asked to.

The three men, identified as 24-year old Abdurasul Juraboev, 30-year old Abror Habibov and 19-year old Akhror Saidakhmetov. the first two said to be from Uzbekistan while the teenager hails from Kazakhstan

All three were charge with attempt and conspiracy to provide material to support ISIS and face up to 15-year jail time as Juraboev and Saidakhmetov were alleged to have plotted to travel to Syria via Turkey with Habibiv paying for the plan.

Saidakhmetov was however arrested at the JFK International AIrport while attempting to board a flight ti Istanbul, Turkey.

Officials said the red flag was raised when Juraboev posted the following on a pro-ISIS website: “What I’m saying is, to shoot Obama and then got shot ourselves, will it do? That will strike fear in the hearts of infidels.”

Loretta Lynch, the top federal prosecutor in Brooklyn said: “Anyone who threatens our citizens and our allies, here or abroad, will face the full force of American justice,”
