He expressed immense gratitude to people who provided the money he used in purchasing the form.

He said, “I want to also thank those who contributed money to purchase this form. Members of the National Assembly, State assembly, elders from Kano and across the country.

“Mr. Chairman, I have the capacity to buy this form, unfortunately or fortunately, they didn’t tell me. They just went ahead. Not only that they purchased the forms, they told me they have a lot of money in the account for us to start the campaign.”

The National Chairman of the party, Mr. John Odigie-Oyegun, in reaction said, “Kwankwaso is one of the rising stars of the APC. He is one of those who have made the party very, very proud, one of those who have put the party on the national map. Having confirmed the receipt of payment in respect of the forms, first the expression of interest and second the presidential nomination form, it is now my pleasure to present you with the forms which make you from today an official aspirant of the APC for President.”

Meanwhile, it was learnt that the form was picked on behalf of the Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima by some members of the National Assembly and their counterpart at the Borno State House of Assembly.
