Learn A New Valuable Skill: Register For 2016 Hour Of Code With re:learn

Must read

In recognition of the 2016 Computer Science Education Week, re:learn is pleased to host the Hour of Code in its Lagos and Abuja centres.

The programme is a one-hour introduction to computer programming, designed to demystify coding and show that anyone can learn to program. A global movement, the Hour of Code reaches millions of students in over 180 countries.

In celebration of the course, re:learn is organising a week-long lineup of free activities. Last year, we introduced 65 children between the ages of 5-18 to an Hour of Code. This year, we have activities lined up for schools, teachers, parents and their children.

Why Code?

Computers are becoming a critical piece in this age, as they are integrated in almost every part of our lives. They’re in our pockets, homes and offices, impacting our everyday utilities and services. All these computers all have one thing in common; they depend on software to tell them what to do, which makes digital literacy a key part of this century.

Through the Hour of Code, we aim to spark excitement around learning computer science, not just for children, but teachers and parents!
