BREAKING NEWS: Appeal Court Nullifies David Mark’s Election, Orders Rerun

The Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi, Benue State has nullified the election victory of former senate president and Benue South senator, David Mark, in the March 28 national assembly elections, The Scoop reports.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Daniel Onjeh had challenged the election of Mark at the Election Tribunal. Onjeh’s challenge was struck out by a unanimous decision on October 6, 2015 by the tribunal, chaired by Justice Mosumola Dipeolu.

Onjeh headed to the Court of Appeal which has Saturday, November 28, 2015 ruled in his favour.

The court ordered that a new election be conducted within 90 days.
