Beyoncé Knowles has been revealed as the cover girl of CR Fashion Book’s fifth issue.
The majestic singing sensation – who wrote a revealing poem with writer Forrest Gander entitled Bey The Light for the issue – is clad in a voluminous Yohji Yamamoto floral cape and black stilettos; her sleek legs peeking out from the garment as she crouches to the floor.
In a cheeky nod to her sex life and a reference to ‘Sasha’, her stage alter-ego, her poem reads: ‘Though we’re different as blue and red, I’m not afraid to draw from her in performance, rifts, even in bed.’
The cover of ex-Vogue editor Ms Roitfeld’s young publication comes after a teaser image released yesterday, in which the 32-year-old star’s entire head is encased in a sequin covering, sprouting three large pink pom-poms.
The poem was written by Mr Gander using statements from Beyoncé’s interview with the publication; which aside from her sex life, explores her dedication to her two-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy and her ‘deep bond’ with young children.
‘It’s my daughter, she’s my biggest muse. There’s someone, we all find out soon, more important than ourselves to lose.’
