The media have been awash with multiple rape and sexual abuse allegations from a couple of women against renowned 77-year-old American dad figure, actor and comedian, Bill Cosby.
Following the allegations, Cosby has been widely sought by various media firms for his response on the issue but he often judiciously declined to make any statement in that regard.
However, on Friday, December 13, 2014 Cosby finally opened up in an interview although he neither affirmed nor denied the 21 allegations that his lawyers have repeatedly called false.
A Black reporter from the NY Post called the Cosby’s Massachusetts home but instead of denying those accusations, Bill Cosby actually took Black media to task, revealing what he expects of them according to Page Six.
He said, “Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.”
He further revealed that his wife of more than a half-century, Camille Cosby, has been supportive.
“Love and the strength of womanhood. Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love,” said Cosby.
Meanwhile, he disclosed that he was warned not to talk to the media.
He said, “They don’t want me talking to the media.”
