Decomposing Bodies Of Missing Students Found In Ebonyi River

The decomposing remains of some abducted students of the Federal Government College, Okposi, in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have been discovered afloat a local river in the area.

This development has thrown the entire school community into a state of mourning.

The two JSS 3 students Tochukwu Ene, and Chukwuemeka Ugwu, went missing on Thursday, May 19, 2016.

A relative of one of the deceased students on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 disclosed that “their corpses have been found floating in a local river”, adding that the kidnappers didn’t establish any contact with their family members to demand a ransom.

The Trent learnt that they were buried on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at their at their respective hometowns, Obioma and Nsude, both in Udi council Area of Enugu State.

An autopsy was conducted on them to determine the possible cause of their deaths and also aid the police in investigation.

Some persons including some staff of the school have been arrested in connection with the incident.
