Diaspora Nigerians Plan Mass Protest In The UK Against Fulani Herdsmen

Nigerians living in Europe and America are mobilizing for a worldwide protest to call attention of the global community to the raging genocidal killings by persons said to be Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria.

Already, the Westminster City Council in London, has given approval for the protest to begin on May 3.

Information volunteered to THE UNION by organizers of the protest, indicate that Nigerians are being mobilized from every part of Europe and the American continent to observe the protest in their various countries.

According to the protest organisers, the London leg, beings with a procession for Nigeria’s High Commission office to the UK Parliament Building beginning 11am on May 3.

It was learnt that the protest is for “all those who are concerned about making Nigeria a safe and better place”.

Already, Nigerians are being mobilized using broadcast messages shared on WhatsApp and other social messaging platforms.

“The group will target prominent British leaders to convey their message including the Queen of England, the British Prime Minister and all British Members of Parliament.

“International media organizations BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera ,VOA, FoxTv, SkyTV, Ben TV, Evening Standard, Guardian UK and others have indicated interest to cover the protest in London on May 3,2016”, the message sent to The UNION read.

There has been outcry over incessant violent invasion of rural communities by alleged Fulani herdsmen which had led to the killing of numerous Nigerians.

Latest in such invasion is the killing of several persons in Nimbo community of Enugu state, allegedly by Fulani herdsmen.
