‘I Have No Plan To Kill My Boss’ – Edo Deputy Governor, Pius Odubu

Must read

The deputy governor of Edo State, Dr. Pius Odubu, on Monday, April 24, 2016, said that the allegation that he has sponsored native doctors to trail and kill Governor Adams Oshiomhole was the handiwork of mischief makers who are bent on destroying his good relationship with the governor.

Odubu, who is a frontline governorship aspirant in the September 2016 governorship election, also raised alarm over alleged plots by some persons to circulate fliers around Benin City with a view to further destroy his image and further fuel crisis between him and the comrade governor.

In a statement, Odubu said the allegation against him is not in line with his practice as a Roman Catholic and a devoted Christian, noting that he has had no path with any witch or native doctor to kill or avenge for him as he will not condescend so low to that level.

The statement reads in part, “The Bible teaches that even when the innocent suffers and mischief makers and traducers appear to triumph by their chief blackmail, it is for God alone to avenge.

“The deputy governor will, by be the special grace of God, continue to disappoint the dubious expectations of those who are bent on driving a wedge between him and the comrade governor. It is my nature and character to be loyal to those who God has set over me because they are the instruments of God.

“At times like this, blackmailers are at their best but the deputy governor has decided to take solace in God who knows the hearts of men, trusting and believing as always that God will vindicate the just. He wishes to reiterate that he has no rift with the comrade governor who he reveres and deeply appreciates”.
