FEC Approves N60.8 Billion For Engineering Infrastructure In FCT

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved N60.8bn contract for the provision of engineering infrastructure in Kyami District, Zone C, Abuja.

The contract was awarded in favour of Messrs. Mangrovetech Construction and Engineering Nigeria Limited (KaKatar CE Limited).

FEC equally approved N9.2bn for cooking stoves to be distributed to poor rural women.

Information Minister, Nurudeen Mohammed, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents after the weekly FEC meeting.

According to Mohammed, “Minister of FCT presented a memo seeking an approval for the award of contract for the provision of engineering infrastructure to Kyami District, Zone C, Abuja.

The minister informed the council that this is in line with the statutory responsibility of the FCTA of providing engineering infrastructure to the FCT.

This is one of the residential districts located in Phase V of the city with a land area or 942.56 hectares.
