JUST IN: Olisa Metuh Freed From Prison As He Meets Bail Conditions (SNAPSHOT)

National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been released on bail from Kuje Prisons where he had been remanded in custody.

Metuh perfected his bail conditions on the evening of Thursday, January 28, 2015.

A source with him, confirmed to The Trent that Metuh has left the prison and is headed to an undisclosed location in Abuja.

Metuh is currently facing a 7-count charge of money laundering brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over N400 million payment he received from the Office of the National Security Advisor in 2014. He maintains his innocence and says the money was paid to him by former President Goodluck Jonathan to perform an assignment, which he did and reported back to the President.
