Once in awhile, a video of a Nigerian mother comes along that reminds us all of our own mothers and their strict, but loving ways.

One of such videos was shared by Kenny (surname withheld on request), a Nigerian-American who took to Twitter on Friday, October 28, 2016 to share a video of his mother ‘threatening’ him over who he should vote for in the November 8 US Presidential elections.

The mother, who wishes to be identified by only her first name, Chichi, in classical Nigerian mother-style told her son just who he must vote for, Hillary Clinton, after he teased her that he wasn’t going to vote for the former US first lady and secretary of state.

The video, which has gone viral with over 31,000 retweets in less than 24 hours, shows Mummy Chichi, a nurse practitioner, threatening to seize her son’s phone and car if he doesn’t vote for her candidate.

She demanded he showed proof of his vote when he is back from the polling centre or else… She reminded her son that it was civic duty as an American to vote… From the way he laughed at her reaction, you could tell a loving relationship between the mother and her son.

In case, you are wondering, Kenny was already planning to vote for Hillary Clinton, he probably just wanted to see his mother’s reaction when he suggested he wasn’t voting for her.

When her son suggested he wasn’t going to vote for either Clinton or Donald Trump, which could mean that he was going for one of less popular candidates on the ballot. The vibrant mom, warned him not to vote for the clueless Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate for president who shockingly, didn’t know what Aleppo is.

‘Make sure you don’t vote of that stupid man, who doesn’t even know Aleppo, or that there is a Syrian war going on,’ the mother rightly warned.

“If you vote for that man, people are going to think you are moron like him,” she said. Then gave her final verdict, “You are not a moron, you are not on drugs, so you are voting for Hillary Clinton!” GBAM!
