‘Not These Old Thieves’: Afrobeat Musician, Seun Anikulapo-Kuti Reacts To Buhari’s Ministerial List

Must read

On Tuesday, October 6, 2015 Nigeria’s senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki eventually read out the names of 21 ministerial nominees sent in by President Muhammadu Buhari. The names on that list has and is still generating mixed reactions amongst Nigerians.

Afrobeat musician and social critic, Seun Anikulapo-Kuti is far from pleased by the names which made the cut.

He took to Facebook to voice his displeasure, here’s what he wrote:

“The ministerial list is a terrible line up. Like the super eagles when the coach refuse to look at all the options open to him and picks the same old used up legs.
I am not saying pick me but this is where the ‘change’ myth is lost. I for one believed this administration was going to pick young hungry unknown technocrats to change this country. The true face of Nigeria is between 18 and 35 as we represent 65% of the society not these old thieves. Fashola is there again ? Audu ogbeh. Well 2019 will surely usher in a new government. FACT!! These ones don fail!!”

Do you agree with Seun?
