PDP Chieftain Assassinated In Rivers

Must read

Unknown gunmen believed to be assassins on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 shot and killed a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Mr. Olala Osondu, in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The ex-officio member of the PDP in the state and the Secretary of the Grassroots Development Initiative in Rivers was assassinated by the assailants on his way back from a meeting
It was gathered that the bandits trailed Osondu to his house located off Ada-George in Port Harcourt around 12.30am.
Sources stated that the bereaved widow of the deceased said she heard two gunshots few seconds after sighting her husband’s car in the dark and was shocked to later find out that her husband had died ostensibly from the two gunshots she heard earlier.
The gunmen fled the scene  as soon as they achieved their aim and the deceased’s car was intact without anything reported missing from it which clearly suggests that the gunmen could have been sent just to kill the victim.
Confirming the incident to journalists, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Ezike, said the fore had launched an investigation into the matter to fish out the assailants and possibly make them face the full wrath of the law.
