#Restructuring: PDP Sets Up Committee To Review Performance In The General Elections

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party has pro-actively constituted a post-election assessment committee which would to review and evaluate the party’s performance in the just concluded general elections.

According to the party’s Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, the committee is also to peruse and broker strategies on how to bounce back as the ruling party come 2019.

The committee which will be inaugurated on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the party’s national headquarters will have top members of the party as members.

Deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, will head the committee while Sen. Walid Jibril would serve as secretary of the committee.

Three serving governors, of which two are incoming Senators of the 8th National Assembly, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state, Theodore Orji of Abia state and Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe.

Other members include, Barrister Nyeson Wike, the Rivers State Governor-elect, Malam. Ibrahim Shekarau, the current Minister of Education, Alhaji Abdulkadir Kure, Mr Emeka Ihedioha, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Abba Moro, Minister of Internal Affairs and Alhaji Adamu Waziri.

Olisa Metuh also mentioned Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Mr Makanjuola Ogundipe, Mr Pegba Otemolu and Mrs Funmi Ayoola as members.
