The Nigeria Police Force has reaffirmed its determination to resolve all kidnap cases in the country by arresting and prosecuting all suspected kidnappers.
While parading eight suspected kidnappers who operate along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, Jimoh Moshood, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, in Abuja on Tuesday, June 20 2017, said a joint team of policemen from Niger, Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory busted the activities of the suspected kidnappers and rescued five victims.
Mr. Moshood also revealed that some suspected kidnappers, alleged to be responsible for the kidnap of some students of a Turkish school in Lagos, would be arraigned at a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, June 20.
There has been a spike in violent crimes along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway in the past two years. Many of these attacks have been attributed to terrorist Fulani herdsmen.
Victims and eyewitnesses have said that they were kidnapped and attacked by people who were Fulani herdsmen.
