Nollywood screen goddess, Stephanie Linus premiered her new movie, ‘Dry’ at the Silverbird Cinema located in Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, 2nd of August, 2015.
Dry is a movie which focuses on VVF (Vesicovaginal Fistula) and child marriage. It’s been already premiered in Wales.
The Nigerian premiere had heavyweights in the entertainment industry coming out to show support.
Some of the notable faces seen at the premiere include Osas Ighodaro, Mo’ Abudu, Ruth Osime, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic and Sola Sobowale.
The movie stars Olu Jacobs, Tijjani Faraga, Hauwa Maina, Rahama Hassan, Rekiya Attah, Hakeem Hassan and Afamefuna Klint Igwemba (Klint da drunk).
According to the producer of the movie – Stephanie Linus, “Dry journeys into heart-wrenching details of a culture not too many films dare to explore. The issue might seem controversial, but if it will set one girl free and open the minds of the people, and encourage us all to take action, then the movie would have served its purpose.”
