A clarion call to sanitize ASALGA of cultism and illegal possession of arms.

The recent security situation in our community has come to a point we need to take a drastic action to sanitize the community.

People are worried, they expressed fears that the community could be in great danger if any effective solution is not established, coupled with the recent assassination of the business man in his home.

I call on all indigene of ASALGA to join forces to sanitise the community of cultism and Illegal possession of Small Arms and Light Weapons, to submit them to the police now or get themselves to be blame.

Let’s say a capital No to cultism, illegal possession of arms, assassination, violence, robbery and intimidation in ASALGA. Let’s join forces together and make peace and security our watchword, “ASALGA, eschew violence Now!

The king, elders in council and the chiefs decision to appoint a vigilante to champion the sanitation of our community, it’s a welcome idea. I commend them for that.

This mobilization is not a party thing and this is not politics. It’s a community approach to bring back security of lives and property in ASALGA.

The chiefs and elders in councils should see this as a sacrifice they have to make for the community, not to appoint any cultist or anybody that have a questionable character as a member of the vigilant group.

I am making this demand on them now, It is also obvious that some of their relations and even sons are involved in the very barbaric act; they shouldn’t hide under the cloak of vigilante. We cannot use our community for politics or favoritism, we must fish out the bad eggs and bring them to book, no matter whose son or relation is involved. I will also loudly say if you are my brother and you are involved, you better go and surrender yourself or I will point you out.

I call on the King, Elders in Council, Chiefs, River State Government and the relevant authority to join forces with us.

Finally, I believe that this strategy will work, if all the people that are involved will play their own part, but if this approach fails, I have another solution to sanitize ASALGA.

ASALGA is our home. One number one civic responsibility is to maintain peace and security of lives and properties. We have to make that sacrifice now so that peace will rain in ASALGA.

Let’s sanitize ASALGA. #SanitizeASALGA
