South-West Youths Back President Jonathan

Youth, numbering thousands on Saturday, February 28, 2015 declared their support for incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the forthcoming presidenitial polls to be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015.

The youths from Ondo, Osun and Ekiti States, gathered in Akure, the Ondo State capital under the auspices of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth wing said President Jonathan represented a vibrant, youthful and result-oriented candidature.

Speaking at the gathering was the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Matters, Jude Imagwe, who said President Jonathan democratised access to tertiary education with the establishment of 14 new universities and many polytechnics.

Imagwe went further to list the president’s achievements including health, roads and the transformation of the agricultural sector.

Also speaking at the event was the PDP Deputy National Youth Leader, Dennis Alonge-Niyi who said there was no comparing President Jonathan and the presidential candidate of the opposition, urging Nigerians to vote in their numbers for Mr. President so as to enjoy the full dividends of democracy.
