You know, we always pray for new levels, but what a lot of us don’t do is to prepare ourselves for the new levels. There are positions that would literally drive us crazy if we were to occupy them now simply because we are not capable of handling the challenges and responsibilities that come with such positions.
God knows when we are ready for the next level; and He will ensure that we are promoted when the time is appropriate; but we must concern ourselves with being ready in every wise. “The heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.”
Allow yourself to be trained. It’s not about just going to work, being present at a place and marking the attendance register; do you have a thorough knowledge and understanding of what goes on there, the implications of what you do, how to get things done, and so on? Being prepared is applicable to all aspects of life: singles who want to get married need to prepare themselves; followers who want to lead must prepare themselves; students who want to be teachers must prepare themselves; even those who wish to succeed and prosper must be prepared to handle success and prosperity!
When it’s time for you to move up, nothing will stop your advancement, in Jesus name. Amen.
