Spirit And Life Devotional: Don’t Go Back

Must read

Song of Solomon 5:3 NKJV “I have taken off my robe; How can I put it on again? I have washed my feet; How can I defile them?”

Lot and his family were asked not to look back, his wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt. Some of us don’t only look back at the things we did before we were saved, sadly, we go back to them. We put on again the robe of sin and the flesh that we put off, we defile our feet that were washed with the precious blood of the Lamb.

To go back to those things is like returning to our vomit. II Peter 2:20, 22 NKJV says, “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Ephesians 5:8 NKJV says, “For you were once darkness, but now you  are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
