Whoa! Woman Dismantles ATM With Her BARE HANDS Because It Didn’t Remit Her Cash (PHOTOS)

Must read

A 28-year-old woman in China just couldn’t bare the thought of walking away from an automatic teller machine (ATM) that didn’t dispense her cash and she did the unthinkable.

The woman, who is only identified by her surname, Lin, tore down an ATM machine at Jinshawan Shopping Mall in Shinlong town of China with her bare hands.

The incident which happened on October 16, 2014, according to China SMACK, had shoppers and tourists and even security guards at the mall watching on in awe as the woman dismantled the ATM machine and proceeded to stand in front of the damaged ATM. She was reportedly mumbling to herself, pounding on the machine intermittently.

Shoppers took photos of the carnage and shared them on Chinese social media sites Weixin/WeChat. The photos show the woman and the ATM machine at different stages of ”demolition’. The ATM computer is ripped out and laying on the floor and ATM receipts are strewn around the floor.

A spokesman of the shopping mall told reporters that the incident happened around 5.50 pm and the woman was spotted on the surveillance camera “attacking” the ATM machine.

“Afterward, we seen from the surveillance footage this woman dismantle the ATM, with security guards being dispatched to the scene after reports, but she had taken the ATM apart within a short few minutes,” the Jinshawan spokesperson said. “After dismantling the machine, she even stood there as if nothing had happened, but was then taken back to the police station once police arrived.”

The woman’s mannerism and conduct appeared to be one of a mentally unstable person and according to the management of the mall, employees were advised not try and stop her, while the mall called the police.

Police say Lin is from Guangxi province Nanning city of China and she had been sent to a mental health hospital for evaluation and the diagnosis would determine their next steps.

Observers say the ATM was old and its casing was thereby weak enough for it to be torn down. There is no word from the bank which owns the ATM on this incident.
