A woman has been stabbed to death near her London home after ‘a lengthy parking place dispute’.

Police were called to Harrow just before 8am on Thursday to reports of a woman who collapsed from stab wounds.

The victim, believed to be in her 40s, was taken by LAS to St Mary’s Hospital.

She died from her injuries at around 11:30am.

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the murder, say police.

This evening locals said the woman had been involved in a lengthy dispute over parking where she lived, report MailOnline.

One man, who would not be named, said: ‘It has been going on for a couple of years. One had set up CCTV cameras and the other had a security light that seemed to be bothering them.

‘Then the road got re-paved and there was an argument about the shared driveway and who could park where. One of them would park their car in a way that agitated the other.’

Detective chief inspector Matt Bonner, from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

He said: ‘I am sure that there will have been people who may have witnessed all or some of the incident who are yet to come forward. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area between 7.30am and 7.50am to contact police.’
