A group named Imo Grassroots For Goodluck Jonathan strongly in support of President Goodluck Jonathan and ruling People’s Democratic Party, on Friday, December 19, 2014 set ablaze the flags of All Progressive Congress political party and brooms which is the party’s symbol in front of the government house in Owerri, the state capital.
Some of the protesters had placards which vehemently spelt out their grievances against the present administration in the state.
According to reports, the group led by the chairman, Otuibe Samuel took the action in their bid to express their disappointment for the administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha under APC in Imo state.
Meanwhile, the group reinstated their resolve to go any extent to support the PDP-led administration of President Jonathan and ensure he is re-elected in the 2015 general elections.
