Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has lampooned the roles played by godfathers in the country’s politics.
Speaking via a series of tweets, Dogara made a bold statement calling for the end of godfatherism.
Although no godfather was mentioned by name, many believe his tirade was directed at former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose supposed godson, Femi Gbajabiamila unsuccessfully contested for the post of Speaker with Dogara.
