FG Slams 13-Counts On Senate President Saraki Over False Asset Declaration [DOCUMENTS]

Must read

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has dragged Senate President, Bukola Saraki to court, filing a 13-count charge for alleged false declaration of assets in forms he filed while he was the governor of Kwara State.

Saraki was also accused of acquiring assets beyond his legitimate earnings as well as operating foreign accounts while being a public officer.

Other charges include anticipatory looting, that is, the declaration of a property that had not yet been sold to him.

The CCB holds that Saraki’s alleged offences negate sections of the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, and Section 2 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.
