An Abuja High Court on Friday, December 11, 2014 gave an order restraining the Peoples Democratic Party from presenting Emmanuel Udom as the candidate of the party in the 2015 governorship election in Akwa Ibom state.
The order followed a motion brought before the court by 22 out of the 23 PDP governorship aspirants in the state, seeking an order restraining the party from using the outcome of the December 8 governorship primary election in the state for the purposes of determining who becomes the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state.
The order will subsist till January 11, when the court is expected to resume hearing.
