10 Injured As Secondary School Students Clash In Osun State

Students of St. James Anglican Secondary School, in the Kola Balogun area of Osogbo in Osun State, has been reported to have gone on rampage against the students of Ansar-U-Deen Secondary School, Iludun on Monday, December 15, 2014, leaving no fewer than ten people injured.

According to an eye witnesses, the students who clashed against themselves are members of rival cult groups.

The students had reportedly clashed on Friday, December, 2014 as residents of the area confirmed that one of the students lost his arm in the fight.

Eye witness added that it was the injured student who came back to strike with his group.

A female student who also witness the brutal fight narrated what transpired into the huge inter school crisis

“Just as we were about settling down in school this morning, friends of the student of Saint James’ student, who was injured during  last week fight, stormed our school and started using matchete and charms on us.

“Some students were injured. We learnt that it was a reprisal, one student, who was said to be a cult guy, was said to have been beaten by members of a rival group and others came on a revenge mission.”

Speaking with the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State, Mr. Ayo Olowe, who confirmed the incident, he stated that only three students were injured and they are under intensive care as the other criminals has been apprehended by the police
