The Defence Headquarters of Nigeria has denied that there was a military operation in the country home of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

This unbelievable denial was made by John Enenche, a major general and the director of Defence Information, at a press briefing with journalists in Abuja on Friday, September 29, 2017.

Following a violent attack on the home Nnamdi Kanu, an event which was streamed live on Facebook on September 14, 2017 and which IPOB claims that 28 people were murdered after Nigerian troops shoot down the house and threw in tear gas into the compound, there has been a back-and-forth between the Nigerian government and Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers over the whereabouts of the self-determination activist.

Major General John Enenche said that neither the military nor any security agency can be held responsible for the missing IPOB leader.

“I watched the operations live. I also got first-hand information from our men on the ground. For the records, Nnamdi Kanu was never taken away by the military,” the DHQ spokesperson said.

“The military is doing their routine exercise operation I saw everything, nobody raided Kanu house. I stand to justify it not from the information I got, I was watching it live. I was monitoring it live.”

“Nobody raided his house, nobody went to ‘carry’ him, that must be very clear I saw the militancy, nobody told me,” he said.

The IPOB leader was last seen in public about a week before the army invaded is community and his father’s compound in a pre-Python Dance II operation in Abia State.

Kanu is due to appear in court on October 17 as his treason trial continues in an Abuja High Court.

The IPOB leader’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, in an application filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, has asked the court to compel the army to produce Mr. Kanu in court.

Below is a video of the invasion unfolding. It was shared on Facebook Live by Somto Okonkwo.

Arrest Nnamdi Kanu Dead Or Alive – Buhari

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the security agencies in the country to arrest Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB “by any means necessary”, an inside source tells The Trent.

According to multiple news sources, the security agencies, acting on the direct instructions of President Muhammadu Buhari, have begin an intense manhunt for Kanu, whose whereabouts is unknown following the violent army invasion of his country home in Abia State last week.

The leading agencies obeying this presidential instruction are the Nigerian Army and the State Security Services, SSS, also known as DSS who are reportedly on a “dead or alive” arrest order.
