A female teacher has been arrested for turning up for the first day at school, drunk and naked from the waist down, according to Huffington Post.
49-year old Lorie Ann Hill, was said to have been drinking vodka when she came into the county school, only to be found on a desk in a wrong classroom, half-nude wreaking of alcohol.
She had been given a pair of shorts by the time police arrived.
Police chief Bob Haley of Wagoner Oklahoma said ““She was found in a room kind of disoriented, but by the time we got there she was wearing shorts. The other teachers didn’t know who she was. She was apparently new and was supposed to start the following day.”
The incident occurred on Monday, August 4, 2014 and Hill was in the principals office as at the time police arrived. When her car was search an empty cup with strong vodka smell was found, although police say she can not be charged with drunk-driving as it could not be proven that she was drunk as at when she arrived at the school premises.
She was released on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 after being booked on suspicion of public intoxication.
An apparently outraged parent, Frank Sandiford said: “I don’t know, as an adult, I just don’t know how you can be a professional teacher and teaching young people, and then show up drunk.”
