Ghanaian actress, Rose Mensah recently got married to Kumasi-based spare parts dealer, Daniel Osei but the marriage lasted for only four days. Upon discovering that her husband was married with kids, the actress immediately moved on.
Daniel who is popularly known as American Man had deceived Rose into marrying him by claiming a photo of his previous marriage were from a movie scene. It was also discovered tha.t the supposed ‘friends and family’ who attended his wedding to Rose were a rented crowd
Shedding more light about the divorce in an interview with Accra-based Kasapa FM, the 52-year old actress popularly known as Kyeiwaa said:
“I have never liked married men. He was not truthful; so when I realized he had a wife, I decided to exit.”
Despite hearing stories about him, Rose decided to give him a benefit of doubt and go ahead with the marriage but was shocked to discover afterwards that he was legally married to someone else.
“I still gave him the benefit of doubt. I still did not want to believe it was true that he had a wife. I thought I was going to benefit from the negative PR. But it turned out days later that everything people were saying was the truth.
“He did not show any sign that he had a wife. We dated for a year. I trusted him but he chose to betray me. He is very cunning. The way he is, he can easily get you to fall for him. I met him on the streets of Kumasi. I knew he had a child but he assured me that he had not engaged her. So it came to me as a shock that he had actually married her legally,” she further stated.
