We have found in all our research studies that the signature of mediocrity is not an unwillingness to change; the signature of signature of mediocrity is chronic inconsistency – James Collins & Morten T. Hanson, Authors of Great by Choice

[pull_quote_center]Leadership can’t be fabricated. If it is fabricated and rehearsed, you can’t fool the guys in the locker room. So when you talk about leadership, it comes with performance. Leadership comes with consistency – Junior Seau[/pull_quote_center]

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he struggle for the actualization of Biafra is one that is just six (6) years younger than the fake entity called Nigeria, created by the deceitful amalgamation of strange bedfellows by Lord Luggard on the suggestion of his girlfriend. From inception till date, this union of over a half-century has consistently displayed the characteristics of a failed marriage; mutual sabotage, distrust, hate, and destruction of lives and properties on repeat like a recurring decimal. The Fulanis from the north believe they are the owners of the country as aptly stated by their foremost and arguable most famous leader, Sir Ahmadu Bello made the most divisive statement below;

[pull_quote_center]“This New Nation called Nigeria, should be an estate of our great grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the North as willing tools, and the South, as conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us, and never allow them to have control over their future.”-Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of Sokoto in THE PARROT of October 12, 1960[/pull_quote_center]

When the fact that this statement was made less than two weeks after the creation of Nigeria, it will become glaringly clear what mindset the Fulani’s came to the union with. This has been proven over and again as their SOLE intention from 1960 till date. Four years later, as these domination politics of Fulanis threatened the peace of the then young Nigeria, a prominent Fulani leader, Mallam Bala Garuba had this to say;

[pull_quote_center]

“The conquest to the sea is now in sight. When our god-sent Ahmadu Bello said some years ago that our conquest will reach the sea shores of Nigeria, some idiots in the South were doubting its possibilities. Today have we not reached the sea? Lagos is reached. It remains Port-Harcourt. It must be conquered and taken.”- Mallam Bala Garuba in WEST AFRICAN PILOT, December 30, 1964

This position led to killings of Igbos in the North when the Fulanis felt they had lost out of the power equation, resulting in a civil war. In this civil war, Buhari played a vital role in the use of torture and hunger as tools of war to murder over two (2) million Igbos, a role he has proudly admitted to repeatedly.

Upon assumption as the Nigerian president, he embarked on a hate-driven campaign to demonize, maim, murder and intimidate Biafrans agitating for the right to self-rule, a right whose roots can be traced to the Atlantic Charter entered into by US President Franklin D Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill. He authorized and encouraged Nigerian troops to shoot, kill and decapitate UNARMED CIVILIAN protesters, boasting that he will kill more if the protesters did not stop demanding their rights. More worrisome is the fact that when it became clear to the protesters that justice can never be gotten within the context of Buhari’s government and sought international intervention, the Buhari-led military tampered with the evidence of their atrocity by cremating the decomposing bodies of the victims of their atrocity.

On several occasions, Buhari on National television effectively declared he was going to crush anyone that opposed his Fulanisation and Islamization agenda in Nigeria, threat he has maintained by killing hundreds of IPOB members and flouting several lawful orders to release the IPOB leader that he has unlawfully detained and tortured since October 18, 2015. He declared the agitation of Biafrans for self-determination illegal and unlawful by laws known and operated by only him.

In a stunning move seen as bad foreign policy act, Buhari on September 28, 2015 at the UN, endorsed a two-state solution for the Palestinian Middle-East conflict. The endorsement in point 28 of his speech is reproduced below;

[pull_quote_center]“The international community has come to pin its hopes on resolving the Palestinian issue through the two – states solution which recognizes the legitimate right of each state to exist in peace and security. The world has no more excuses or reasons to delay the implementation of the long list of Security Council resolutions on this question. NEITHER DO WE HAVE THE MORAL RIGHT TO DENY ANY PEOPLE THEIR FREEDOM or condemn them indefinitely to OCCUPATION and blockade” – Buhari[/pull_quote_center]

However, in a stunning move three weeks later, he arrested the leader of a PEOPLE AGITATING FOR THEIR FREEDOM, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, and went ahead to deploy an occupation force to the South East and South-South, one that is killing and maiming indigenes of the areas they are occupying. This ran contrary to the letter and spirit of his earlier declaration at the United Nations.

It was thought that this flip in position was to be the final. However, it was not to be so. The brazenness of his hypocrisy came to the fore once again on March 11, 2015. On the same day, while agents of state under Buhari’s direction were incarcerating the leader of IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu in Nigerian courts, he assured the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic that Nigeria will stand with them in their agitation for their rights to self-determination and independence. On the same day, over the same issue, Buhari expressed different opinions and took opposing actions. Clearly, the only plausible conclusion is that Buhari is only moved by Islamic sentiments with ties to the Saudi’s.

The question on every lip now is, will the international community continue to stand by and watch Buhari carry out the cold blooded genocide he is perpetrating on Biafran? Do Biafran also have the right to self-determination and governance or was that right declared with inbuilt prejudices?
