It was victory for Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, as the Supreme Court upheld his election in the evening of Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
In a similar fashion, the apex court also upheld the elections of Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP and Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi of All Progressive Congress, APC.
The seven-man panel apex court Justices that heard the three election cases however, said they would adduce reasons for their judgment on Monday, February 15, 2016.
