PHOTOS: Onitsha Mosque Day After Pro-Biafra Protest With No Sign Of Fire [LOOK]

Must read

One of the trending topics to come out of the Onitsha protests staged in support of Biafra and the detained Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu is that the Onitsha Mosque was burn by rioters following the killings of unarmed protesters by a multi security task force made up of police, army, and navy operatives.

The two organisations that staged the mega pro-Biafra protests which shut down the Niger Bridge for the most part of Wednesday, December 3, 2015, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Republic of Biafra (MASSOB) have denied burning down any mosque.

A Facebook user, John Okiyi Kalu, has debunked reports that the Onitsha Mosque was burn by sharing photos he took after the riot.

The surrounding shops were vandalised but the mosque, which is the incompleted building with a tree by its side is untouched. The tree beside the mosque does not show any sign of fire getting close to it at any time.

See the photos below, which has also been shared on Twitter.
