A 53-year-old man identified as Steven Michael Desisto was arrested, charged and convicted of sexual assault after having sex with a woman who passed out after getting drunk in California.
The Deputy District Attorney of the Los Angeles County, Sherry Powell, who prosecuted the case, said that the jury deliberated for less than an hour before finding Desisto guilty of two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object when the victim was intoxicated, and one count each of possession of a controlled substance and unauthorized invasion of privacy.
Worldwide Weird News reports on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 said Desisto faces a maximum sentence of 11 years in state prison and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
It was gathered that the rapist dragged the intoxicated woman to his Long Beach apartment who she had passed out after they both had some drinks together.
She woke up to see the man raping her in his apartment and reported the incident to the police after she escaped from the house.
The police discovered an image of the victim during the sexual assault on the defendant’s cellphone.
Meanwhile, cocaine was found at the defendant’s home.
Several months after committing the crime,the defendant was arrested and charged to court .
