The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in its entirety as it affirmed the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari as the lawful winner of the February 23, 2019 presidential election.

In its ruling at the Appeal Court on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, the tribunal struck out the PDP’s petitions on Buhari’s certificate qualifications, vote buying, and INEC electronic transmission of election results on servers among others.

The PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar had challenged the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progressives Congress, APC, at the February 2019 presidential election.
