One of America’s most famous twerkers, Betty Butt, was fatally shot last Wednesday during a botched robbery in Cobb County. Her death was made public by her former Twerk Team mate, Lady Luscious.
“This doesn’t even feel real they took you away now all I’m left with is words and convos that never happened if you love someone hold them close life is too short for the bullshit I love you big sister #RIPBeTTyBuTT I’m going to miss you,” she posted on Instgaram.
Smyrna police spokesperson, Chris Graeff, said that Betty was one of two people that were shot at the Mission at Galleria Apartments. While Betty, who sustained gunshot wounds to the head, died on the way to hospital, the other victim, a male, is reported to be doing well and undergoing treatment for injuries to the side of his body.
During the investigation that followed the shootings, Graeff said that they were told to be on the lookout for three men who were in a red Toyota Camry. A while later, an officer spotted the car on Cobb Parkway and proceeded to pursue it as a chase ensued.
Other officers were called in on the pursuit after the chase enterted I-75 before the car hit another vehicle and overturned.
Sarah Miller, a witness to the chase, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution “this red car zooms by us in the other lane. I saw the car hit the side of another car and flip over.”
All three suspects then tried to run away but officers caught two of them close to the crash site while the third suspect was captured a little later.
