SHOCKER: I Will Treat Constituencies That Voted For Me Better Than Others – Buhari [WATCH]

Must read

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 stated clearly that he would not treat all Nigerians equally.

He made the assertion during a question-and-answer session in the United States of America where he went on a 4-day trip.

An American journalist asked him how he intended to tackle the issues pertaining the Niger Delta, particularly Amnesty, and inclusive development. In his reply, Buhari implied that regions that voted him would receive a fairer treatment than those that didn’t during the general elections that brought him into office.

At first, the president appeared not to have understood the question before the anchor took some time to explain to him.

After the explanation, Buhari said; “Going by election results, constituencies that gave me 97% can not in all honesty be treated, on some issues, with constituencies that gave me 5%. I think these are political realities.

“While, certainly there will be justice for everybody but the people who voted, and made their votes count, they must feel the government has appreciated the effort they put in putting the government in place. I think this is really fair.”

Now, this inciting statement gets one wondering if the president is trying to go back on the promises he made during his inauguration on Friday, May 29, 2015.

Is the president now trying to belong to somebody, despite his “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody” quote?
