The Nigerian press has join the fight against Boko Haram while on official duty in Brazil for the FIFA World Cup.
The Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram has killed thousands in Nigeria since it’s inception in 2009. The sect recently killed many football faithfuls in a suicide bombing while watching a World Cup match in Yobe.
“We felt it was important to wear these t-shirts,” Steven Alabi Akimjidi, a Nigerian journalist told AFP.
“We would feel comfortable wearing these back home, but not in the region where Boko Haram operate,” he added.
