#SoundOff: Why Buhari Addressed Nigerians In The US At A ‘Secret Location’

Must read

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ccording to reports, “President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday assured Nigerians in the Diaspora (during his recent trip to the USA) that the hardship currently being experienced back home would not last for long.” – PointblankNews, April 3, 2016

It is interesting to note that this report, generated from a press statement by the Nigerian presidency, in typical condescending manner, made no mention of any contributions by the so-called “Diasporans” present. There are also no independent press accounts because the media was also kept in the dark about this clandestine meeting.

While the FIVE (5) people he met with may be good Nigerian Diaspora citizens, they do not represent any known organized Diaspora group.

The event may have been kept top secret, location unknown, possibly due the publicly telegraphed plans by various groups particularly the Biafra movement to confront Buhari during the visit to the US.

Buhari and every top Nigerian government officials should know that the new norm is to hold them accountable publicly and vociferously, everywhere, for their derogatory disrespect and dehumanization of our people. You can run, but we will eventually catch up with you – ‘Rocha Okorocha, hello.’
