#SoundOff: Buhari’s Presidential Chat – Nigerians, Weep For Yourselves

Must read

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]o those of them that are crying for Nigeria after watching the Buhari’s Presidential Chat, I say to them what Christ said to the women of Jerusalem in Luke 23:28;

[pull_quote_center]”Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for your yourselves, and for your children.”[/pull_quote_center]

This is especially to those of them that voted for Buhari and fanatically supported him to be president of the 21st Century Nigeria. Do not weep for Nigeria. Weep for your sorry self and for the children unborn that you have plunged into political uncertainty, insecurity, poverty, hunger, strife, incompetence and general backwardness.

The latin maxim: “Nemo dat quod non habet”-one cannot give what he does not have, readily comes to mind. If you select a “Keke NAPEP” and trust him to take you from Enugu to Abuja, Awka to Makurdi, Lagos to PH, Kaduna to Ibadan or Sokoto to Kaura Namoda, it is your fault and your stupidity at work when the poor “keke” parks up and stops you at the middle of nowhere. Keke can only take you but so far. If you mount a ram instead of a camel and expect it to take you to cross a 500 kilometer desert, it speaks to your ignorance or foolishness, or combination of the two. The ram has nothing to do with your issues.

Buhari cannot give you a leadership of the 21st century when he does not have what it takes to make it happen. His age, mental capacity, education background, exposure, religious fanaticism, despotic tendencies, sense of Hausa-Fulani entitlement, rigidity, ignorance, xenophobic tendencies and all the negatives were there for all to see. It is stupid and foolish to cry over a spilled milk or to weep when the head is already on the ground. So suck it up! If you bring home ant-infested firewood, who do you blame when the poor lizards visit you for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Weep for yourself, your children, for your grand children great-grand children.

There is nothing that Buhari would do today or tomorrow that would surprise me. Absolutely nothing! His history and his antecedents are there for everyone to see. I am sounding like a broken record; but I specifically pointed them out a year ago. You cannot teach an old dog a new trick. You cannot take the spots out from a leopard irrespective of its age.

For those that are still playing the ostrich, still in denial about the quagmire we are in, I tell you to “contunuu”.
