#SoundOff: Southerners, You Are Being Used And You’re Clapping For Your Oppressors

Must read

by Portia Emilia Anthony

Please, remind me, has IGP Solomon Arase been to the North East or any part of the North to harass our President’s misguided brothers Boko Haram?

How many Boko Haram members has Arase arrested or charged by virtue of his position as Inspector General of Police?

But hear this – Arase is busying himself arresting, molesting, and also killing innocent Igbo youths for standing up against the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, a free-born citizen of Nigeria for agitating for the right of self-governance and expressing his views on the subjugation of his people.

With the odiferous body odour of Mr. President and the way things are looking under the Buhari administration, it seems no election or judicial process would be free, fair, transparent, or independent under this administration.

Most the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders have all gone deaf and dumb. Most have sold their conscience and their mouths are full with food of corruption hence, most can’t talk anymore.

Where are the PDP elders at times like this? Where are all the PDP elders that were headlining newspapers under the previous administration? Does it mean that they are so afraid of Buhari, as being promoted by his brainless minions, that their mouths sealed? People who are afraid of Buhari, the tyran should know that all he is doing is intimidation and nothing else.

As it is now, without Fayose, maybe Olisa Methu and Fani-Kayode fighting for his region there is no one else?

Where are the civil societies, organised groups that came out to shout down on President Gooduck Jonathan at every chance, and reminded him that they did him a favour by voting for him? They have gone deaf and dumb, almost dead? In the face of unconscionable impunity, these emergency activists have rolled over and are playing dead. Are they subtly telling the world that Buhari has a right to rule, because he was “born to rule”?

If well-meaning Nigerians fail to speak out against Buhari’s undemocratic and despotic approach to governance, his blatant manipulation of the judiciary for his selfish aims, then a few criminals in the All Progressive Congress (APC) will rig itself into the government house of Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Kogi, and Bayelsa. It is clear that Buhari’s intention, and that of his greedy and power-hungry cohorts, is to conquer these territories which they view as minorities.

It is curious that a Fulani man thinks he is born to rule and conquer other ethnic minorities. Fulani is the smallest tribe in Nigeria. They represent the real minority.

From all indication, Buhari’s relatives, brothers, sisters, in-laws, and co-Fulani cattlerearers/herdsmen, et all are dancing naked in the streets of Nigeria. And they have no intention of conducting a free and fair election under his presidency.

The last hope for our democracy, the Judiciary, is now operating from Buhari’s pocket. Unless the PDP gets its act together and starts being an opposition in the face of a democratic dictatorship. The PDP and its leaders need to speak out against this tyranny. They need to strategise. They need to put a structure to sensitize the people.

We must not sit and watch our territories conquered.

This is not about APC or PDP, but about conquering our territories and instigating war.

The Jihadist APC is trying to take over Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom. If you don’t know what that means then go and study the history of what happened to Turkey, quite close to home here what happened to Kaduna, Kwara, etc.

Kaduna was predominantly a Christian state until the Jihadists came and took over. Patrick Yakowa was killed and he was the only and first Christian governor in that state, the Fulanis have come back it is back to the status quo and it is business as usual.

Don’t be stupid! Start thinking and think now. Start talking to your people, educate them on what to do and expect, the consequences of what would happen if they don’t do certain things that are expected of them.
