A 23-year-old woman has gotten more than she deserved after she turned down her ex-lover’s proposal to marry her.
According to Mirror UK, Viri Benitez, from Tapachula, Mexico, said she was getting ready for work when Fred Munoz Nataren, 25, turned up at her house demanding to see her.
Things turned sour after she opened the door for him.
Narrating her ordeal, Benitez said, “I had finished with him a few weeks earlier because he was violent and I didn’t want to marry him.
“When he arrived at my house I told him I was going to work. When he offered to take me and I refused he went mental.”
Out of rage, Nataren dragged her by the hair into his car and drove her to a deserted garage where he demanded his pound of flesh oblivious of whose ox was gored.
Things got more awry at the scene when he pounced on her and brutally assaulted her with a dumbbell until she bled profusely and passed out.
Nataren proceeded to rape the victim multiple times in her pitiable state.
Continuing her narration, Benitez said, “As he was beating me he was saying he was going to destroy my face so that no one would want to be with me.
“He accused me of humiliating him. I begged him to stop but he just hit me harder until I was half-unconscious.”
“When he had finished he went outside and I gathered together enough strength to run to a nearby restaurant where some people helped me.”
Police operatives have waded into a man hunt aimed at locating the perpetrator of the heinous act.
As part of efforts to locate Nataren, the victim has launched a campaign via a Facebook page which has already generated more than 6,000 likes and carries photos of Nataren along with pictures of supporters holding banners saying: “Viri’s Case.”
A police spokesman said, “An arrest warrant has been put out for the man and it will only be a matter of time until we find him.”
