Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho

Born in Imo on October 3, 1996, Kelechi Iheanacho is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Premier League side Leicester City as a striker. Iheanacho is considered one of the best Nigerian players, but seeing that he was in Kun Aguero’s shadow during his spell at Manchester City, he decided to join the Foxes in the summer of 2017. The 22-year old striker is pretty fast and he has a very powerful shot and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of him. Kelechi Iheanacho scored 12 goals in 46 appearances for Manchester City in the English top flight and he made his debut for Nigeria national team in a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Swaziland.

Henry Onyekuru

Everton player, Henry Onyekuru, currently on loan to Galatasaray

Henry Onyekuru is yet another talented Nigerian footballer. The 21-year-old forward is a product of Aspire Academy who started his senior career at Eupen of Belgium in 2015. Two years later he joined Premier League side Everton, but he did not see any game action at the Goodison Park outfit. Onyekuru is still an Everton player, but he currently plays for Galatasaray on loan. The Nigerian striker is enjoying a very successful season, he quickly found his goal-scoring touch in the 2018/2019 Turkish Super Lig campaign, but that is unlikely to help the capital club win the domestic trophy.

Last but definitely not least is a prolific winger Alex Iwobi. Over the years Iwobi has established himself as a first-team regular at the Nigerian national football team, while playing an important role at Arsenal. Iwobi is one of the fastest players in the Premier League, but he has a descent technique as well. His main position is left winger, but he is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder if needed. Alex Iwobi is undisputedly the future of Nigerian football, but he needs to keep on making progress if he is to become one of the best players in the history of the Super Eagles. The Arsenal man made his debut for the Nigeria national team on October 8, 2015 in a friendly against DR Congo and he scored his first goal for the Super Eagles two years later in a World Cup qualifier against Zambia. According to the lastest premier league predictions Alex Iwobi is a play that might be ready for the next step
