It was gathered that Mrs Suswam, placed a call to the 911, telling the dispatcher over the phone that her life was in danger following a physical assault she suffered from her husband over a heated argument relating to his mistress, Shidoo.

A family source reportedly told the police that the former governor habitually battered his wife and inflicted several injuries on her as a result of the overbearing influence of his mistress who has reportedly taken over his house as a wife.
Battery is an offence in the UK under the Persons Act of 1861 and Mr Suswam faces a prison term not exceeding six months if found guilty of the cliams.
According to reports, a close family source disclosed that the British Police are prevailing on Mrs. Suswam to press charges against her husband.
A source in the know allegedly disclosed that Shidoo, has a child for the ex governor which irked Mrs Suswam, who felt she was losing grip of her husband to a mistress who has vowed to marry him.
Investigations pieced together revealed that Shidoo who works at NAFDAC was very influential especially for the people who wished to get through with Mr Suswam during his reign.
“She was always helpful to the Benue people and that was what endeared her to our people.
“She was always ready to help. If any Benue person needed something from the former governor, Shidoo was always ready to help,” said the source whose identity was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Mr Suswam dispelled the rumours few minutes ago on Thursday, July 2, 2015 via his official Facebook and Twitter pages.
He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to news making rounds on social media that I was arrested in London last week. That report is full of mischief and aimed at slandering me and my dear wife. Disregard any news about a squabble between me and my dear wife. We’re fine, Thank you. GTS.”
