Must read

The highly anticipated international friendly between the Nigeria U-17 squad, Golden Eaglets and their Argentine counterparts which was slated for Tuesday, October 6 was called off at the last minute due to harsh weather conditions as rainstorm was expected.

The match has now been slated for 3:30pm (7:30pm Nigerian time) on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the the Argentina Football Association(AFA) Training Centre located in Ezeiza; a one-hour drive from the Eaglets camp at Buenos Aires.

Meanwhile, the head coach of the Golden Eaglets, Emmanuel Amuneke is confident that the weather in Buenos Aires where the team is camping is similar to that of Chile where the U-17 world cup takes place later in the year. According to the ex international, the players are getting used to the weather.

Speaking to the NFF:

“We have to remain focused. Gradually, the boys are getting used to the cold weather which they were not used to before now.

“Now, they have to forget about the sunny weather
back home and I’m happy they are adjusting well though it was initially difficult for some of them when we arrived on Friday,” Amuneke explained.

The final list of 21 players for the world cup will be released before the Eaglets leave for Chile.
