A former dancer of the late Afrobeat king, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti known as ‘Dodo Mayana’ is dead.
Reports have it that the lady used to be a dancer for Fela before his demise. After Fela passed on, she joined his son Femi Kuti’s band.
The lady who is said to be popular at the New Afrikan Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos later quit dancing and has been selling drinks outside the shrine in recent times.
She lost her life after a car hit her along Grammar school bus- stop, Omole, Lagos while she was returning home on the night of Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
