Emwazi is believed to be the chief executioner in the beheading of foreign journalists, James Foley, Steven Sotloff, British aid worker David Haines, British taxi driver Alan Henning, American aid worker Peter Kassig and Kenji Goto.

1. He was born in Kuwait.

2. He moved to the UK when he was six years old.

3. His father is a taxi driver.

4. He has three siblings, two sisters and a brother, who is also a criminal with controversial opinions.

5. He attended the Church of England school, as the only Muslim student in his class.

6. He once dreamed of being a footballer.

7. He studied computer programming at the University of Westminster from 2006 to 2009.

8. He changed his name by deed poll and tried to travel to Somalia, the home of terrorist group, Al Shabaab, in 2009.

9. He was put on a no-fly terror watch list in 2010.

10. He traveled to Syria in 2012 to join ISIS.
